Comment | The difference between 涼しい and 冷たい is one that vexes many students. They would benefit from that distinction being made clear in JDIC. |

Current Entry | スクランブルドエッグズ /(n) scrambled eggs/ (1068520) |
Headword 1 | スクランブルドエッグズ |
Part-of-speech | n |
English 1 | scrambled eggs |
Comment | When I googled this on 2.6.09, I got 174 hits. By contrast, スクランブルエッグ resulted in 621,000 hits. Furthermore, the Japanese Wikipedia entry is under スクランブルエッグ, and in that entry, neither スクランブルエッグズ nor スクランブルドエッグズ are listed as alternatives, but スクランブルドエッグ is (5690 hits). I suggest deleting this entry.
(As I'm sure you're aware, morphology is normally lost in 外来語, and that's why スクランブルエッグ is the most common term, found not only colloquially but also on menus (e.g., Gusto, Jonathan's, etc.). |
