Headword 1お増
Reading 1おます
Part-of-speechn
English 1(see comments)
Commenti'm reading a japanese story -- 野菊の墓 -- and the word "お増" is use to describe a member of the household -- from context, it seems like it refers to an old woman servant, but i can't say for sure... that's why i came here looking for a definition :-) i'm hoping you'll be familiar with the word and able to add an appropriate english meaning.

CommentComment on the suggested 収用 amendment: 収用 indeed only means expropriation (daijisen, daijirin, MS IME) and 収容 is seating capacity. This entry should therefore not be changed.
