These are the submissions received via the WWW forms for this day. I (Jim Breen) will annotate the submission if I think it needs to be amended or rejected or if I have a question about it. Otherwise it can be assumed that it has been accepted. You can see how it will look in EDICT by looking at the "diffs" file for this day or the next in the diffs directory.

CommentAlthough the headword cannot be found as a dictionary entry [at least, as far as I have seen], it does get 130,000 - 160,000 Google hits, depending on usage. There is no doubt about the meaning, nor the reading, so the concept of 'work in progress' is perhaps more about a 'non-promotion' reluctance, rather than 'greater clarity' is still needed.

It is extremely useful for the novice to have this headword and to see its normal meaning and reading so I am wondering if the headword cannot be brought into the realms of the 'defined' expressions, rather than 'work in progress' [which category you did indicate could be deleted at any time]. Again, if it cannot be promoted to the main dictionary, could you consider, a new category for this type of headword, which headword is clearly accepted as a much used 'na' adjective combination, but which presumably falls outside the concept of the normal dictionary criteria.

I see that 'work in progress' now includes 4 categories, perhaps we could have something like 'common usage' in a category of its own.
