Commentthis is a very "current" word, but not obvious from its parts (Äê³Û and µëÉÕ¶â would be "fixed (amount) payment").

Maybe "money handout", I don't know.

Editorial Comment I like "money handout". I made it "April 2009". "Spring" only applies to half the planet.

CommentThis came up in an email with a friend (52 year old Japanese woman residing in Hiroshima. Her note contained ¡ÖÄà¤ê½ñ(¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç)¥Ñ¡¼¥½¥Ê¥ë¡¡¥Ò¥¹¥È¥ê¡¼¡×. My IME (Windows XP) gives Äà½ñ for ¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç. Also the ALC web page has one entry for Äà½ñ and nothing for any of the other variations. Also, a friend here (native Japanese) told me it was pronounced ¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç.

Editorial Comment My IME (Canna) gives Äà½ñ for ¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç too. All my dictionaries including ¹¼°¸ and Âç¼ÎÓ are silent on ¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç and only show ¤Ä¤ê¤¬¤. I suspect ¤Ä¤ê¤·¤ç is a modern (and mixed) reading.

Editorial Comment Nelson is V E R Y old-fashioned. I think many of the post-war writing reforms, including the regularization of okurigana, passed him by. I'd prefer that amendments based on Nelson were confirmed by other sources.
