| Comment | I have never heard of this English idiom before - the only references to it on Google seem to trace back to WWWJDIC... is this from the Tanaka corpus? Mickle is as far as I know only used in Scotland to mean "a lot". Even then, it still doesn't make sense.
I think a better translation from seeing it used in context would be "It's hard to tell a poor thinker from a sleeping one." What do you think? Do you know if Paul Blay is still looking for people to help edit the corpus? |
