CommentI don't know how to phrase it well in English, but it's basically used for anime and manga where (due to lack of money, etc.) later episodes or series look like crap compared to earlier ones. (The Youtube video has some funny examples, if not always fair).

Part-of-speechn
English 1Alan Smithee

Comment亜乱炭椎 has been used in the credits of some anime in the same way as Alan Smithee was (is?) used by American film directors. (See also 作画崩壊)

Don't know if this would go in Enamdic or not.

Headword 1ゴーヤー
Headword 2ゴーヤ

English 1(See 苦瓜) Okinawan name for bitter melon (Momordica charantia)
Comment1) Changed the kanji in the reference, to lead to a less obscure and more closely
related item: read 苦瓜 in Chinese and you get "ku3gua" (from which it is not far
to Okinawan "gouyaa")
2) added Okinawa reference

Commentfix reading futagumi -> futakumi. If you take a look at google hits for "futagumi" in all hiragana, practically all of them are edict-based. My IME also only converts futakumi correctly.
