These are the submissions received via the WWW forms for this day. I (Jim Breen) will annotate the submission if I think it needs to be amended or rejected or if I have a question about it. Otherwise it can be assumed that it has been accepted. You can see how it will look in EDICT by looking at the "diffs" file for this day or the next in the diffs directory.

>>This entry seems to be caught up with zokusuru(to belong), it's a bit confusing at any rate

>Any comment, Rene? It's one of yours.
=====

IMO, there shouldn't be any confusion w.r.t. dictionary entries. There's only one entry for 属する[ぞくする], and that's:
属する 【ぞくする】 (vs-s,vi) to belong to; to come under; to be affiliated with; to be subject to

I think the original comment might have been referring to this entry being "caught up" in terms of example sentences. For example, this is currently being indexed as both 属する[ぞくする] and 属する[しょくする]:
-彼女はテニス部に属している。 She belongs to the tennis club.

I just submitted an example-sentences amendment suggesting that 属する in all example sentences be indexed specifically as 属する[ぞくする].

Editorial Comment The post-Paul example maintenance hasn't begun. I have made that change on the WWWJDIC copy.
