Current Entry手が掛かる;手がかかる [てがかかる] /(exp) to take a lot of dealing with/to be a handlful/ (2089710)
Headword 1手が掛かる
Headword 2手がかかる
Reading 1てがかかる
Part-of-speechexp,v5r
English 1to take a lot of dealing with
English 2to be a handlful
Commentてのかかる is just the relative form of this expression. Any expression using a が can also use a の.

It would be great to have a way to deal automatically with those entries. (Maybe by allowing the の entry as a second headword with reading restrictions?)

Editorial Comment I experimented ages ago with having the の and が forms in the one entry, but it was too messy.

Current Entryほろりと /(vs,adv) (on-mim) being moved to tears/being touched by/becoming sentimental/ (1011730)
Headword 1ほろり
Part-of-speechadv
English 1(on-mim) being moved (to tears)
English 2being touched by
English 3becoming sentimental
CommentMaybe drop both the と and the vs.
と definitely isn't the source of the meaning.
Just wait for the day there's a vとs part-of-speech.
vs applies to too many words anyway.
In fact, why not stick to categorizing words according to actual Japanese grammar?
Oh, and I also parenthesized "to tears" just to make it clear they are not necessarily implied.
I submitted ほろり because I read on the lyrics of some song 涙ほろり零れてくよ and Rikaichan didn't point me anywhere intelligible so I resorted to Google.

Editorial Comment I've dropped the と and added a comment "also ほろりとする".
I don't find Japanese 国語 classifications much use for dictionary PoSs, and they're useless unless you've studied a lot Japanese already.

CommentI said: "Hmmmm. Doesn't seem correct. 省電力 is about conserving power."
Someone responded: "Just search amazon.co.jp for
「特定省電力無線機」 and .com for "transceiver". I
apologize for the unwanted publicity, but
images.google.co.jp and .com just didn't cut it."

OK. Got it. The trouble is that "transceiver" in English is
pretty broad in meaning. whereas トランシーバー in Japanese
is usually restricted to mean a small wireless telephone.
特定省電力無線機 has to been seen in this context. A better
gloss is "low-power wireless telehone", with an xref to
トランシーバー.
