Current Entry助けて [たすけて] /(int) help!/ (1344400)
Headword 1助けて
Reading 1たすけて
Part-of-speechint
English 1help!
ReferenceSee below.
CommentI am wondering whether the system allows a cross-reference from the following entry:-

たすけて (etc.) See: 助ける

to the headword above.

The present entry for "たすけて" allows one to move from "たすけて" to the basic verb formation, but the novice may not realise that the other entry "助けて" may really be the one which is sought in connection with the text being read.

Again, quite obvious when one knows, but ....

Editorial Comment I suspect there are limits to how far I can try and make it novice-proof.

Commentref. the previous "painter" meaning: like 電工 is electrician, the -工 suffix can also refer to the person doing the job (especially anything engineering or handiwork related). However, I am also unable to find any references to the word being used this way.

Even so, I think "painting" should be kept in.
