Comment1) Headword (kanji) 2 滑れる should get an "oK" mark (don't know how to add
this up there...)

2) I still don't understand the way the "Translate Words" interface accesses
the various databases.
For example, when i use "Translate Words" with a text containing the
expression ずれる, i get the following result:
"ずれる (v1) to slide; to slip off; ; KD"
Unfortunately that is - what's the newspeak term here? - suboptimal.

On the other hand, if i use "Word Search/Home" to look up ずれる i get the
following - appropriately detailed! - result:
"ずれる (v1,vi) (possibly written 滑れる) to slide; to slip off; to get dislocated;
to be out of alignment; to get dislodged; to deviate; to shift (position); to be
out of sync.; to be slightly off; to be off-point; (P)"

Why does "Translate Words" take the entry from KD?

And why does "Translate Words" give me "ページガール (n) page girl; ED
[Partial Match!]" when a text contains the expression ページ and not the much
more appropriate definition from EDICT: " 頁 【ページ】 (n) (頁 is sometimes
ぺえじ or ぺいじ) (uk) page; (P)"?

Editorial Comment Re (2): The KD (special kana file) entry for ずれる was older and had not caught up with the expansion of main entry. I have fixed this now. The "Translate Words" function uses that special file to try and hold back on the squillions of false positives you get by just using the whole file. I don't know if this is still the case, but I remember Rikaichan telling me that the した in 勉強した meant "tongue".
Re ページ, that is now fixed. In the "Translate Words" function it looks for the longest complete exact katakana match, but I hadn't catered for entries where the katakana was in the reading part of the entry. I went through and replicated about 70 entries such as ページ in a "specials" subfile so they'll be handled properly. Let me know if you see any more not being handled correctly.
