Headword 1勉強した
Reading 1べんきょうした
Part-of-speechexp
English 1study tongue? XXX
ReferenceSee below.
CommentI have submitted the above simply in order to make a request, namely: with reference to your comment on 2009-11-22, in response to Hendrik's submission, I am wonder if you can make an entry for 勉強した.

You stated that, 'I remember Rikaichan telling me that the した in 勉強した meant "tongue".'

If "勉強した" had a headword entry, together with that meaning, then it would be clear that there was another meaning for "勉強した", which was different from the simple past tense of "勉強する"

My apologies if I have misunderstood, but I have read your comment a couple of times. Maybe, I have read something out of context. However, if I did not read out of context, it seemed worthwhile making this submission.

Editorial Comment No. Rikaichan was sending the wrong message. (Please don't create "new" entries in order to make a suggestion.")

Comment I guess you're right.

Wikipedia:

"That is (to say)" in the sense of "that means" and "which means", or "in other words", or sometimes "in this case", depending on the context; may be followed by a comma, or not, depending on style (American English and British English respectively). It is often misinterpreted as "in example". In this situation, e.g. should be used instead.

Sadly, poor Edict doesn't get anywhere near to a perfect score.

This is one of the more obscure words and I'm not sure it's even used much. Did not submit:
