New Entries/Amendments for 2009-12-02

These are the submissions received via the WWW forms for this day. I (Jim Breen) will annotate the submission if I think it needs to be amended or rejected or if I have a question about it. Otherwise it can be assumed that it has been accepted. You can see how it will look in EDICT by looking at the "diffs" file for this day or the next in the diffs directory.
Annotations completed: 2 Dec.
Headword 1旅信
Reading 1りょしん
Reading 2たびだより
Part-of-speechexp
English 1message from someone on a journey
ReferenceSee below.
CommentRoy Miller (53) gives this. I cannot find it elsewhere, but there are quite a few Google hits.

There is also a book which shows the alternative reading as above in the title, namely: 旅信(たびだより)―葉書にひと言、小京都から想いをおくる (単行本)

I guess it may be obscure, but being on your site would help the novice to find a meaning.

Editorial Comment Daijirin has: "旅先からのたより". I suggest you try it for these words (the Goo site).
