Editorial Comment EIjiro has "doorstepping" which is useful. Also it is a prenominal meaning "hanging" or "dangling", so I'll add that too.

CommentSome help with this entry would be welcome: i'm not sure about the PoS and any other possible (additional) meanings - "by that time" might perhaps fit as well. Also, this entry is in none of the dictionaries i have access to, and the sources i have found, if they contain English, are all NJS, so i think if anybody has some stronger evidence it would be welcome. Anyway, this term seems to be is kana only (maybe for obvious reasons: ここに来て means something different, after all)...

Editorial Comment This is a difficult one. Maybe a second cousin to ここにおいて. All the usage cases I can find are plainly ここに来て, so it would be quite misleading to have "recently" as the sole gloss. Maybe:
ここにきて /(exp) (1) came here/coming here/(2) (id) recently/
Comment welcome.

Current Entry導光板 [どうこうばん] /(n) light guide (esp. in chemistry, solid-state physics)/ (2029570)
Headword 1導光板
Reading 1どうこうばん
Part-of-speechn
English 1light guide
ReferenceOn the web:
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/バックライト
From the text at hand:
面発光は蛍光灯などが備える特徴で,導光板などの光学部品を利用すればLEDでも実現可能
だ。
CommentI'd suggest we remove the comment in parentheses since a 導光板 is not a light
guide in the form of a fiber (as might perhaps be envisioned) but a flat and thin
but wide object (sheet) of sorts, the likes of which can commonly be found in
the back of LCD computer screens and the like; its job is to distribute light from
a light source at the side of the screen to evenly illuminate the back of the
screen... ;-) (And the web reference shown here has even graphics to that
effect.)

Editorial Comment So Eijiro's "optical waveguide" is wrong? I see Kenkyusha's 追加語彙 has: "a light-guiding plate (略: LGP)", which I like too.
